On 7 June 2020, Chiranjeevi Sarja died of sudden cardiac arrest at Bangalore. while talking to his father on phone, he had been suffering severe pain in his chest at the time around 1.10 pm. He was straight away taken to the Apollo Hospital in Jayanagar, but it was late, doctors confirmed his death. The last rites isconducted at his grandfather Shakti Prasad farmhouse which is at Jakkenahalli in Madhugiri taluk in Tumakuru district on 8 June 2020.
