Arya is an Indian actor who is famous for his work in the Tamil film industry. His real name is Jamshad Ceethirakath.

Arya was born on 11 December 1980 (Age 43 Years; in 2024) in Trikaripur, Kasaragod, Kerala, India. Arya studied at the SBOA Matriculation and Higher Secondary school in Chennai. He graduated in Computer Science Engineering (B.Tech) from Crescent Engineering College, Chennai.

His father, Umar Cethirakath, is a former footballer, presently running a restaurants ‘Sea Shell’ at Anna Nagar in Chennai, and his mom Jameela Cethirakath is a Homemaker. Arya has a two brother Sathya Cethirakath, who is also a film actor and Razi Cethirakath.

Arya met Actress Sayyeshaa on the sets of Ghajinikanth. They both fell for each other after being friends for a time. They got married in Taj Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad on March 10, 2019.

Career

He made his acting debut with the Tamil Flim “Arinthum Ariyamalum (2005).”, which was Super Hit at the box office.

After that, he featured in Hit films, like “Ullam Ketkumae,” “Pattiyal,” and “Naan Kadavul,” In 2010, he acted in two successful films, including “Madrasapattinam” and “Boss Engira Bhaskaran.”
After that, Arya has appeared in many successful films like, “Avan Ivan” (2011), “Vettai” (2012), “Raja Rani” (2013), “Irandaam Ulagam” (2013), “Meaghamann” (2014), and “Romeo Juliet” (2015). In 2018, he played the lead in Ghajinikanth, opposite his wife, Sayyeshaa.
